The military’s media arm reported that during an exchange of fire in the Wali Tangi neighbourhood of Quetta, at least three terrorists were killed and a security personnel was martyred.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday night that terrorists had attacked a checkpoint in the Wali Tangi neighbourhood using firearms.

Three terrorists “were sent to hell during the exchange of fire,” the statement continued.

It was reported that Subedar Qaiser Raheem had died a martyr’s death while “fighting valiantly in the line of duty” and that another soldier had been severely hurt.

The statement promised that Pakistani security personnel will “constantly foil the plots of those who would destroy the peace and prosperity” of the country.

Sarfraz Bugti, the interim minister of the interior, “strongly condemned the attack” and said that the entire country honoured the sacrifice.

Also condemning the attack on forces in the Wali Tangi district of Quetta was Jan Achakzai, the caretaker minister of information for Balochistan.

The “Security Forces” have “offered a lot of sacrifices to maintain peace in the province,” Achakzai remarked.
In their struggle against terrorists and their enablers, he said, the public was behind the security forces.

Subedar Qaiser Rahim’s final prayer was said at the Quetta Garrison.

The funeral prayer was attended by high-ranking military personnel, including Balochistan Corps Commander Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor.

Following the funeral prayer, the martyr’s body was sent to his home region for a proper burial with military honours.

Three suspected members of the outlawed terrorist group Da’esh were killed in a separate operation in the Faqeerabad sector of Peshawar.

Details suggest that the Peshawar Counter Terrorism Department carried out an operation in response to intelligence suggesting that Da’esh members were plotting attacks in the city.

DSP operations led a raid in which terrorists opened fire on the police group as they approached the Faqeerabad neighbourhood of Peshawar. Three members of ISIS were killed by police retaliation fire. According to locals, gunfire rang out throughout the area for as long as 35 minutes.

They had weapons and ammo, which were found and taken away.

According to a statement released by the CTD, officials conducted a search operation after the shooting stopped and located the bodies of three terrorists in separate locations.

The police arrested one terrorist and discovered a Kalashnikov with three full magazines and a hand grenade in his possession.

The second terrorist was also found with a loaded Kalashnikov, seven additional magazines, several hand grenades, and a quantity of torches.

The third terrorist was caught with a loaded Kalashnikov, five more magazines, and a hand grenade.

The Bomb Disposal Team was immediately given all of the hand grenades that had been found.

Five or six of the dead terrorists’ associates escaped by using the terrain and the river bank.

The mortuary at the hospital received the bodies for examination. The identities of the terrorists were being investigated.
