JI is concerned about the availability of flour and power shortages.
According to the head of the JI, the government apparatus has failed to execute its duties.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) organized protest rallies in Peshawar and the Bajaur tribal area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa against the lack of flour and improper handling of the province’s free flour distribution (K-P).
Amir Sirajuddin Querishi and other JI district members led the demonstration in Peshawar.
He said that protracted unscheduled power outages, gas shortages, and poorly handled free wheat distribution during the holy month of Ramazan had made life miserable for the general populace.
He continued by saying that the government apparatus had not done its job and that if the issues were not resolved, people would march on the deputy commissioner’s office in Peshawar.
On the other side, JI Bajaur also organized a protest march in the Bajaur district’s Tangi, Charmang neighborhood.
Inflation had severely affected the poorer classes of society, according to speakers at the event, without drawing any notice from the relevant parties, and this condition was wholly unacceptable.
They claimed that “widespread mishandling in the flour supply to the registered families” had led to the loss of priceless human life.
