It was announced on Wednesday by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar that the recently established Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will continue its work in building the groundwork for expedited foreign investments, particularly from Saudi Arabia.

On a recent visit from the Saudi ambassador, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, the prime minister discussed potential areas of collaboration between the two countries.

The Saudi ambassador extended congratulations on the new prime minister’s appointment and greetings from King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the rest of the Saudi people.

According to the prime minister, relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia go back centuries. He expressed appreciation to the Saudi government for their unwavering commitment to Pakistan’s economic security and growth.

He emphasised the vast number of Pakistanis who are currently employed in Saudi Arabia and asked that the Saudi side continue providing them with every available facilitation.

Prime Minister Kakar praised the foresight of the Saudi leadership and assured his country’s neighbour that it will remain a reliable and trustworthy ally.

According to Ambassador Nawaf, ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are “as close as brothers,” with the two countries working closely together on topics of mutual concern on both the national and regional levels.
