During a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar emphasized the “blind” faith his country has in China, calling their relationship a “match made in heaven.”

He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s dedication to its strategic cooperation with China will not waver under any circumstances.
In his opening remarks, the prime minister declared Pakistan’s unwavering support for the One China policy and promised to back up his words with deeds. About 140 heads of state and government representatives were present at the conference, which took place on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum.
Kakar made it crystal clear that Pakistan would not be taking any steps back in its ties to China. The two heads of state met to talk about a wide range of issues, both domestic and international. Shamshad Akhtar, Sarfaraz Bugti, and Gohar Ejaz were among the members of the prime minister’s entourage who were greeted enthusiastically by President Xi.
Prime Minister Modi thanked President Xi for inviting him to the “historic” Belt and Road Forum and praised the “resounding” success of the event during their meeting. He spoke highly of President Xi’s forum presentation, describing it as “profound, deep, and visionary,” which he said opened up many doors for countries like Pakistan.
Kakar said that China’s extraordinary development is an example for the world to follow because it has improved the lives of so many people and has no historical analog. He emphasized that all political institutions in Pakistan share his assessment of China.
In addition, he highlighted the importance of President Xi’s “community of shared future” vision in these uncertain times. China’s traditional relationship with Pakistan would be strengthened and their bilateral collaboration would be deepened, President Xi said in his remarks.
In this new era of a shared future, he reaffirmed China and Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening their partnership.
President Xi Jinping has stated that China will continue to work toward regional peace and prosperity through its support of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The summit demonstrated the mutual dedication of Pakistan and China to regional growth and development through cooperation.
