The founding head of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement in Pakistan, Azeem Ahmed Tariq, was shot and killed on May 1, 1993, in his home in the Federal B Area of Karachi.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the convener of the MQM-P, paid a visit to his grave alongside the senior deputy convener, deputy conveners, and members of the coordination committee, all of whom echoed his demand to reawaken the concept of the movement’s first chairman.

Fateha was offered during gatherings in the provinces of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The chairman’s fight and contributions were honoured after his death.

The primary rally took place in a park close to Bahadurabad, Karachi’s MQM Pakistan epicentre.

Abdul Haseeb, a member of the coordinating committee, led everyone in prayer. He prayed for the political stability of the country, for the early release of captive workers, for the recovery of missing workers, and for the high position of martyrs like the martyred chairman Azeem Ahmed Tariq.

MQM-P The movement was in despair after the murder of APMSO’s founder and Chairman Azeem Ahmed Tariq in 1993, according to a speech given by Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. “MQM lost the ideology of its founder 30 years ago,” Siddiqui added.

He stated that the Shaheed chairman could not give an unbiased speech on behalf of the country.

Siddiqui added that on the 30th anniversary of Azeem Ahmed Tariq’s death, the movement would continue to follow Azeem’s teachings, ideas, and ideology to reach its goal.

Mustafa Kamal, the senior deputy convenor, remarked that the deaths of Azeem Ahmed Tariq and Dr. Imran Farooq were a tragedy for the Mohajir people. Each of us has contributed to the problem by keeping quiet about these atrocities.

Dr Farooq Sattar, the party’s senior deputy convener, has claimed that Azeem Ahmed Tariq is the author of the APMSO and MQM’s doctrinal literature. Azeem Ahmed Tariq’s assassination was the first step towards diverging the MQM from its genuine path and dividing the Mohajir people.

On January 11, 2023, a united movement was reborn, according to Sattar. He ultimately came to the conclusion that everyone in the movement needed to own their faults and work to fix them.
