Multiple individuals, including the shooter, were killed in a shooting at a Walmart in Virginia.
It is now unknown whether or not the shooter committed suicide by shooting themselves.
Chesapeake police public information officer Leo Kosinski stated in a media briefing that the shooter in a shooting that took place at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia on Tuesday evening had been killed. The incident resulted in several deaths and injuries, and the shooter was also killed.
Kosinski stated that the police reacted to a report of a shooting inside a Walmart at Sam’s Circle around 10:12 pm. He also stated that “fewer than 10” persons were killed, although he did not disclose the actual number of fatalities.
It is not yet known whether or whether the shooter killed themselves before committing suicide. Kosinski also stated that “to his knowledge” there were not any rounds fired at the cops.
“Chesapeake Police have confirmed that there was an active shooter situation at the Walmart on Sam’s Circle, which resulted in fatalities. The gunman has now passed away “according to the City of Chesapeake.
A request for comment from Reuters was not immediately met with a response from either Walmart or the police department.
