Unknown assailants opened fire on a patrolling squad of capital police in Sector E-12 of the federal capital on Saturday.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the attack.
A police spokesperson stated that the incident occurred while officers from the Golra police station were on normal patrol in the area.
He added that while on patrol, they had to signal a suspicious car to pull over. The three suspected occupants of the car suddenly opened fire on the workers before making a hasty getaway.
Thanks to the swift application of security measures, no law enforcement officers were hurt.
One of the suspects was injured by police gunfire during the chase of the fleeing group and was subsequently apprehended.
After additional inquiry, the suspect’s possessions were found to include firearms and ammunition. In addition, the stolen vehicles had equipment typically used in auto theft.
A spokeswoman for law enforcement indicated that more resources are being devoted to finding and arresting the remaining individuals. To guarantee their capture, checkpoints have been set up at strategic locations throughout the region.
