Meeting for the second time, the Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Rosatom, the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation, discussed opportunities in renewable energy, inter-university collaboration, and train-the-trainers courses and scholarships on Wednesday in Karachi.

The significance of promoting such cooperation efforts between universities in Pakistan and Russia was discussed by Prof. Dr. SM Tariq Rafi, Chairperson of the Sindh Higher Education Commission.
At the event, he made the following remarks: “Such joint projects will assist universities get familiar with their strengths, identify areas of growth, and push excellence in academia. It’s a joint project between the Sindh Higher Education Commission and the Russian nuclear power agency Rosatom.
Speaking on behalf of Rosatom, Counselor Natalia Kudryashova said, “This collaboration reflects our commitment to academic precision, research, emerging trends in the field of renewable energy, and photovoltaic.”
Experts in renewable energy were sought for the virtual gathering from a select group of Sindhi universities, both public and private.
