Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was pronounced well by medical professionals from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Thursday. They said that no symptoms of gradual poisoning had been seen.
This announcement comes in response to Imran Khan’s allegations that his wife was poisoned while being detained at their Bani Gala residence, which has been designated as a sub-jail. Khan had insisted that Bushra Bibi be examined by a physician at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore.
Bushra Bibi herself stated that her health was failing and speculated that she might have been slowly poisoned by mixing a cleaning solution from the bathroom with her diet.
Four medical professionals performed a comprehensive physical examination and a number of other medical tests. Blood testing revealed no evidence of cleaner or slow-poisoning symptoms, the medical team reported. As a result, Bushra Bibi’s condition was assessed satisfactory and her health was determined to be good.
