On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to reconstruct flood-ravaged areas in accordance with the country’s Resilient Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction Framework (4RF).

To examine the continuing rehabilitation [and] reconstruction of the flood-affected districts, the premier tweeted today that he “chaired the [third] meeting of the International Partners Support Group yesterday.”
He said the Group’s gathering was convened to commemorate the one year anniversary of the disastrous floods that took a terrible toll on the country and was organised following the Resilient Pakistan Conference in Geneva.

In addition, PM Shehbaz “appreciated all the international development donors, partners, and friendly countries for their timely and generous assistance and assured them of transparent, effective, and efficient utilisation of foreign assistance duly audited by a third party of global repute.”
He expressed appreciation to the UNDP for their role in facilitating effective communication and cooperation between the government of Pakistan and other countries.
