The Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, was briefed on the attack in Karachi.
The Prime Minister has made a commitment to assist in the expansion of the capabilities of provincial governments to combat terrorism.
The terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office was discussed with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah (KPO).
Four people were martyred, including two police officers and a Ranger trooper, and 16 others were hurt when terrorists stormed the KPO on Friday while wearing suicide vests and carrying automatic weapons and grenades, according to officials.
After the attack at dusk, security forces searched the building floor by floor for the attackers as a gun battle raged for more than three hours. After killing the three militants, the forces retook the structure, a government spokesperson reported.
The provincial governor gave PM Shehbaz information he had learned about the attackers during a phone call.
The prime minister expressed his relief that no significant casualties or damage occurred. He went on to say that the forces bravely defeated the attackers.
As well as congratulating the operation’s participants, he also commended the officers and officials.
PM Shehbaz vowed to back the expansion of provincial governments’ anti-terrorism capabilities.
The Sindh Chief Minister’s initiative and presence on the scene were also praised by the prime minister.
