The Pakistani military released a statement on Thursday saying that funeral prayers were held for four fallen troops in their home cities of Kohat, Mianwali, Dera Ismail Khan, and Mardan.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that Major Mian Abdullah Shah was killed in action in the Shahkas area of District Khyber and that Naib Subedar Sahib Khan, Naik Muhammad Ibrahim, and Sepoy Jehangir Khan died in a suicide attack near the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan district.
Three American soldiers were killed in an incident in Waziristan.
According to the ISPR, the martyrs were given a proper military burial.
“Serving and retired officers/soldiers, relatives, and a large number of people from different segments of society attended the funerals,” it continued.
The ISPR added that Pakistan’s military forces are committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism in every way possible.
“These sacrifices reaffirm our resolve and strengthen our faith in the fight against terrorism to provide a peaceful Pakistan to our future generations,” it continued.
