LAHORE: Following the sudden arrival of an ambulance and medical staff to Bani Gala late on Monday night, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) raised grave concerns about the health of Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, on Tuesday.

It declared that Bushra’s safety and security were now in jeopardy and warned that those in authority would be held responsible if anything happened to her.

PTI Central Spokesperson Raoof Hasan asked during a news conference in Islamabad that Bushra be moved right away to Shaukat Khanum Hospital so that she can be examined by doctors of her choosing and Imran Khan’s choosing.

He threatened to prosecute everyone accountable, including the jail superintendent and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, if anything happened to her.

During a press conference, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan criticized the government for not providing the party with pertinent information regarding Bushra Bibi’s condition and added that she is being held illegally at the Bani Gala sub-jail.

PTI leaders and supporters were taken aback by the unexpected arrival of medical help at Bani Gala, raising concerns about Bushra Bibi’s health and causing a delay in action.

Barrister Gohar called for immediate action, describing the situation as “extremely serious and worrisome.”

He expressed his dismay at the fact that despite repeated questions, the party leadership had not received any information regarding the ambulance’s arrival or Bushra Bibi’s condition. He continued, “This lack of communication exacerbated concerns about her safety and security.”

Barrister Gohar emphasized that Bushra Bibi’s health and safety are the responsibility of the powerful, but he also chastised them for not fulfilling their legal and constitutional duties. He vehemently denounced the government’s inability to protect her, calling it both regrettable and unacceptable.

At the press conference in Islamabad, Raoof Hasan said that it was barbaric and unacceptable for the physicians and ambulance to arrive at Bani Gala without warning Bushra Bibi’s family or PTI’s legal team. He issued a warning that things might get worse and that the public’s tolerance will eventually run out.

Senator Dr. Mohmand of the PTI cast doubt on the veracity of Bushra Bibi’s medical evaluations, speculating that the two-month delay in her examination may have been intentional to conceal misconduct.

He insisted on a complete investigation to rule out any foul play and suggested that the inflammation in her digestive system might be a sign of poisoning.

Bushra Bibi had no history of health problems, according to PTI core committee member Naeem Panjutha, and the fact that her medical condition wasn’t treated right away aroused questions.

She had been placed in solitary confinement and prohibited from contacting outsiders, he pointed out, making her situation even more vulnerable.

The PTI Women Wing President, Kanwal Shauzab, emphasized that after the government change, targeting women has grown to be a worrying tendency. She emphasized that Bushra Bibi has no political role and that Imran Khan is being pressured by his illegal detention.

She insisted that Bushra Bibi, who is being detained on spurious and politically driven charges, be freed right away.

The PTI leaders emphasized that they would not stay mute if Bushra Bibi’s condition worsened and urged the government to guarantee her safety and take prompt action to solve her health concerns.
