Where did you go?
Sheheryar Munawar: Doha, Qatar.

What was the purpose of your trip?
SM: I was invited by the Qatar Government for a meet-and-greet, and I had an editorial shoot.

What did you pack?
SM: I went for three days so I packed light – a few t-shirts, jeans, sneakers, a nice jacket and a few button-downs for anything more formal, and of course watches.

What was favourite meal/restaurant?
SM: My favourite restaurant was Parisa Souq Waqif, where I was amazed by authentic Persian delights and mesmerising interiors. Their food was phenomenal.

What was the biggest highlight of your trip/most memorable moment?
SM: The highlight of my trip was one of the places where I shot, which was a helipad at JW Marriott, which had breathtaking views.

Favorite shopping destination?
SM: Doha Festival City.

Some sights worth seeing?
SM: The Katara Amphitheatre is definitely worth seeing. It’s a crafted balance between the classical Greek theatre concept and the everlasting Islamic features. It was just wow!

What are some spots for a night out?
SM: Souq Waqif awakens at night when the hot day gives way to the cool evening. Here, you can stock up on local handicrafts, watch street performances, check out the falconry market, and visit art galleries

Travel essentials?
SM: Of course the basics – sunscreen, money, medicines and shades.
