Imran, Umar, and Fawad have been called as witnesses in the ECP contempt case.
The governing body of elections has issued a directive ordering all three leaders to make their appearance in court tomorrow.

Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asad Umar, and Chaudhry Fawad Hussain have all been called to appear before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in a contempt case.

Wednesday is the hearing date, according to Express News.

Imran Khan, Asad Umar, and Fawad Chaudhry were the targets of the ECP’s contempt actions for making statements critical of the electoral body and the chief election commissioner.

Imran Khan and other key party officials were issued arrest warrants that might be released on bond in January after they failed to appear before the panel for contempt proceedings.

In the contempt case, Asad Umar has previously expressed regret to the ECP. Umar claimed that he didn’t want for his comments on the ECP to be seen as a slight. “I apologize if the ECP still thinks it was humiliated. I surrender to its whims “said he.

All three of the leaders have received letters from the ECP ordering them to appear in court. On Wednesday, the PTI leaders’ alleged case of contempt of court will be heard. No other information about the case has been provided by the ECP.

The PTI has been dealing with a number of legal issues, the most recent of which being the summoning of Imran Khan and several party officials in a contempt case.
