AL-MALABAD:
Shiraz Ahmad Ranjha, the attorney representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan, stated on Wednesday that there are untrue reports that he was slowly poisoned while incarcerated.

Ranjha categorically denied all of these allegations, calling them unfounded.

Express News reports that Imran was allegedly poisoned while he was a prisoner. However, Imran’s attorney vigorously refuted the rumors on social media in a video statement.

Ranjha made it clear that the claims that the PTI chairman was poisoned or is in danger of being poisoned are untrue.

The attorney went on to discuss an earlier event, saying there had been a miscommunication. He clarified that there is increased worry for the PTI chairman’s safety because of the two prior attempts at his murder, particularly with regard to the possibility of him coming into contact with a slow-acting poison.

Imran is being held at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. He was formerly detained at Attock Jail following his August 5 conviction in the presents repository case.

The National Accountability Bureau detained the former prime minister on May 9 inside the high court in Islamabad on allegations of corruption related to his ownership of the Al-Qadir Trust.

He was first imprisoned at Attock District Jail and was most recently transferred to Adiala Jail. Imran swears to come clean in every one of the fabricated instances he alleges he was imprisoned for.
