Imran Khan has been called the biggest liar in the world, while a minister from Zardari’s home province has called the claims against him “false and contrived.”

Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was referred to as the “greatest liar” in the world by Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Thursday in response to the former prime minister’s address.

The provincial minister claimed that Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), had been the target of “false and invented” accusations.

Memon stated that “it is not proper to bring the Holy Quran into politics” after pointing out that Imran Khan made reference to it in his address.

Imran was given the challenge to “raise the Holy Quran and tell the country who helped him win the 2018 elections,” as stated by the minister.

He also questioned Imran’s ability to pick up the Holy Qur’an, tell the country how much money was paid to recruit the independent members, and identify the individuals who assisted him in luring electables from various parties to join PTI.

The minister also questioned the cost of the items given to Toshakhana and the price at which they were sold based on fictitious invoices.

He also pressed Imran to disclose how frequently he had face-to-face encounters with Saqib Nisar, who was then the chief justice, as well as the advantages he had gained.

He questioned, “Can he pick up the Holy Quran and tell us how much money they have from outside sources and where it has been hidden?”

Imran was also questioned to divulge the actual number of his children while being asked to declare that his sister Aleema Khan did not utilise monies from Shaukat Khanum to construct a home.

Imran asserted last week that a fresh murder strategy had been devised, and he named Zardari as a crucial member of the plot.

The PTI leader held a news conference via video link from his Zaman Park home in Lahore and referred to the alleged plan as “Plan-C,” for which he said Zardari had paid money to a terrorist organisation to carry out the murder attempt.

“Now that they’ve developed a Plan C, Asif Zardari is responsible for it. He has a lot of corrupt funds that he steals from the government of Sindh and uses to influence elections. Imran claimed that Zardari had donated money to a terrorist organisation and that he was being helped by individuals from strong organisations.
