On Tuesday, PTI leader and ex-foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz and PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were racing to clinch the premier’s post while leaving the “poor people on their fate” in LAHORE.

His pre-arrest bond was extended until July 7 in three cases related to the May 9 incident, and he was speaking to the media there.

Four prominent members of the PML-N and PPP have met in Dubai to discuss strategy, sparking speculation that there could be a political shakeup in the coming days in Pakistan.

With PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, Maryam, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, and Bilawal all in the city at the same time, a political storm is brewing.

According to Qureshi, the fact that both the PML-N and the PPP’s top leadership are currently in Dubai indicates that all three parties remain in the running for the premiership.

He went on to say, “Both Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maryam Nawaz are candidates for the position,” and that “there is a lot of discussion about their meeting in Dubai these days.”

Everyone is concerned about the state of the economy and wants to know who is working to improve it, but politicians are meeting in Dubai to plot their ascent to the premiership instead of taking the necessary steps to pull the country out of its current crises, Qureshi said.

While visiting the United States, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement on Pakistan, and he was disappointed that no one from the current government responded to it.

The Indian prime minister has stated that Pakistan is destroying itself. Qureshi lamented, “But the Pakistani prime minister is silent.”

It would be premature to talk on the topic, Qureshi said, referencing ISPR Director General Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry’s press briefing. “The DG ISPR did not mention any names. As you well know, I don’t like to weigh in on presumptions.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan was reportedly re-arrested on Wednesday after being released on bail the previous day.

After being granted bail by an anti-corruption court, Khan was reportedly re-arrested, as reported by Express News.
In a case involving suspected fraudulent hiring inside the fisheries department, resulting in a loss to the national exchequer of Rs2.3 million, the court granted post-arrest interim bail to the detained PTI leader earlier in the day.

The ATC released the PTI leader on interim bail with a Rs80,000 surety bond. Khan was being held at Mardan Central Prison at the time on judicial remand.

After being released, he was taken into custody by the Anti-Corruption Establishment in connection with a fresh complaint filed with the Mardan Anti-Corruption department only a day earlier, alleging misappropriation of cash from multiple contracts.
