A statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday noted that the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul had hosted the graduation ceremonies for the 148th PMA Long Course, 67th Integrated Course, 35th Technical Graduate Course, and 22nd Lady Cadet Course.
Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the featured guest at this event. Many international cadets from countries like Iraq, Maldives, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka, and Yemen were also present at the ceremony.
The ceremony culminated with the keynote guest presenting awards to the top cadets. Sword of Honor recipient, 148th PMA Long Course Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdur Rehman Awan.
Additionally, Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Hamza Khalid from the 148th PMA Long Course was awarded the President’s Gold Medal. Battalion Senior Under Officer Shreejan Baniya, of Nepal, was awarded the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal for his participation in the 148th PMA Long Course.
Course Under Officers Fareeha Kainaat Arif of the 22nd Lady Cadet Course and Muhammad Najam Azam of the 67th Integrated Course were also awarded Commandant’s Canes. Company Quarter Master Sergeant Frasat Toufique received the Chief of Army Staff Cane from the 35th Technical Graduate Course.
Not only that, but Lieutenant General HLVM Liyanage, RWP, RSP, NDU, Commander of the Sri Lankan Army, was there as the guest of honor.
