ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will make a public announcement regarding the matter of whether or not Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain should be removed from his position as president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) (today).
The panel is going to hand down its decision regarding the appeal made by Shujaat. It is important to remember that the ECP put off making a judgement until August of the previous year.
In July of the previous year, the faction led by Pervaiz Elahi made the decision to oust Shujaat and General Secretary Tariq Bashir Cheema from their positions as leaders of the party. On the other hand, Shujaat contested the verdict by submitting an application to the ECP.
