During his recent trip to Turkey, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with several international leaders on Sunday in Ankara to discuss expanding bilateral ties and cooperation between Pakistan and their countries.

The prime minister began a two-day official visit to Turkey on Friday, when he landed in Ankara for a ceremony honoring Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s re-election as president. On Saturday, he showed up to the event in question.

The Prime Minister shared the government’s strategy to welcome FDI and promote JVs with the attendees.

Extending trade and investment links to make the most of prospects in Pakistan was a major topic of discussion, as was increasing cooperation in important economic areas through the direct presence of Turkish firms and via joint ventures with their Pakistani counterparts.

According to a news statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing on Sunday, the Prime Minister met with former Deputy Prime Minister of Türkiye and Chairman of the MHP Devlet Bahceli today to congratulate him on his election victory.

He also spoke with Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, president of Kosovo, around this time. The presidents reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and areas of mutual collaboration.

The prime minister also spoke with Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president of Iran.

The Prime Minister mentioned his recent meeting with the President of Iran and the opening of a market on the border between Balochistan and Sistan.

The premier hailed the beginning of barter trade between the countries, saying he was confident it would be beneficial for the people of both countries.

Regional cooperation, connectivity, and expanding bilateral cooperation were all on the table during his meeting with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The PM also extended an invitation to Turkish businessmen to invest in Pakistan and build strategic partnerships in the areas of energy, agriculture, IT, and construction yesterday.

During his time in Ankara, the leaders of various Turkish business organizations met with the prime minister.
