Sana Mir, a former captain of Pakistan’s national women’s cricket team, shared a photo on social media with Mike Haysman of Australia, Dominick Cork of England, Vivian Richards of the West Indies, and Darren Sammy, who is currently the head coach of Peshawar Zalmi.

The fact that our athlete was representing Pakistan and competing alongside these well-known men’s cricket players should have filled Pakistani cricket fans with pride, but instead, all social media users could talk about was how she was the only woman in a field of men.

On her Twitter account on Thursday, Mir shared a photo of herself with the aforementioned athletes along with the message, “Happy times.”

Who knew the pleasant memory would cause her to receive such unfair trolling? Fortunately, some rational Twitter users defended her and spoke out against the offensive insults she had received. This is the reality of “living in a man’s world,” a user observed.
